  • Elasticsearch is making all its clients (which are open source) incompatible with everything (AWS Opensearch, ElasticSearch non commercial version) except its commercial offering. Amazon has stepped in and made its clients compatible with both Opensearch and Elasticsearch. Source
  • Github is shutting down git password authentication from August 13. Instead, token-based authentication (for example, personal access, OAuth, SSH Key, or GitHub App installation token) will be required for all authenticated Git operations. Source
